My First Vertical Garden

This is my first vertical garden. Together with my father, i have set up experiment with vertical gardening in containing towers. We are using all kinds of recycled containers, in this case plastic bottles was used. The containers are stacked into "towers".
Now, i will describe the way how to start a "bottle towers".

First, Prepare 7 bottle to make bottle tower, in the bottle no 1 cut off the bottom part of the bottle, with the scissors, the wall of bottle is perforated at 5 - 10 cm from the top of the lid. A second perforation (as a drainage hole) is made diagonally across the botlle no 1. Bellow the second hole a small reserve of water is kept in the bottle. through these drainage hole a possible surplus of water can be evacuated. Then, bottle no 1 is filled with potting soil up to 2,5-5 cm of the edge of the bottle. The bottle no 1 is the bottom bottle of the future tower. For the next 3 bottle ( no 2, 3 and 4, without the 2 drainage hole) we take the lid off and cut the bottom part. A tower of 4 bottle. The bottle tower is kept upright with a couples of simple wires. Use the top of bottle (no 5) as a funnel and puss the bottleneck into the soil of the upper of bottle 4. A bottle no 6 will be use as a watertank on top of the funnel. Thefore a small perforation (1 mm) of the lid is made. Bottle no 6 is the top bottle, used as a watertank, water running slowly through this small hole. Watertank bottle no 6 is pushed into bottle
